Newport Residences Summary
Transformation from Fuji Xerox Towers to Newport Residences
The developer had applied to the Urban Redevelopment Authority for permission to redevelop the 38-story Fuji Xerox Tower office building in Tanjong Pagar. It is likely that this property may be granted higher plot ratios. Following receipt of Singapore government approvals, the developer will thereafter proceed with the redevelopment of the Fuji Xerox Tower in Tanjong Pagar.
The developer intends to construct a mixed-use commercial of around 45 storeys, residential, and serviced apartment tower with a gross floor area of 655,000 square feet (60,851 square meters) on the Fuji Xerox Tower site at the southern end of the downtown core. The new building will have 25% more GFA than the existing office complex on the site.
Newport Residences Earns the Super Low Energy label
The former Fuji Xerox Towers office building will be transformed into a new private development with approximately 250 apartments that will be powered by solar panels and energy-efficient lighting. Because of the design plans, it was able to overcome space constraints and earn a Super Low Energy rating under new residential development standards.
Residential buildings must be at least 60% more energy efficient than in 2005 to receive the Super Low Energy label. The new standard was developed as part of a larger green mark certification scheme.

Premium Mixed-Use Development at Newport Residences
Newport Residences is a new freehold condominium development on Anson Road in District 2. The former Fuji Xerox Towers will be redeveloped into a mixed-use development with residences, serviced apartments, offices, and retail space by the developer.
